On 26 December 2025, Gallipoli Sisters came together to close off the year with reflection, creativity, and intention at the Letter to Your Future Self Workshop. Nearly 50 sisters gathered for a meaningful evening centred on faith, goal-setting, and connection reminding us of the power of coming together as a community.

The workshop provided sisters with a dedicated space to pause, reflect on the year that had passed, and thoughtfully prepare for the year ahead. Over shared food, conversation, and creative expression, sisters explored how setting intentional and achievable spiritual goals can strengthen faith and bring clarity to one’s personal journey.

The evening began with a short presentation by Sister Fatima Ada, introducing the concept of adopting a wasat (balanced) mindset for 2026. Sisters were encouraged to think intentionally about their spiritual growth, focusing on goals that were specific, realistic, and sustainable, rather than overwhelming or unattainable. The discussion highlighted the importance of balance and nurturing faith alongside everyday responsibilities.

Following the reflection, sisters began writing letters to their future selves. The room filled with creativity and quiet contemplation as sisters poured their intentions onto paper, showcasing not only their artistic skills but also their sincerity and hope for spiritual growth in the coming year. The atmosphere was warm and uplifting, with refreshments shared as conversations flowed naturally among attendees.

The evening concluded with Maghrib prayer, grounding the gathering in worship and reflection, followed by a final group recount and closing reflections.

While the Letter to Your Future Self Workshop was a special way to end the year, it is not a standalone event. It is one of many initiatives curated by Gallipoli Sisters, a program under Gallipoli iYouth, with the aim of connecting women in our community through Islamic teachings, meaningful dialogue, and shared experiences. Through halaqahs, workshops, events, and volunteer opportunities, Gallipoli Sisters strives to create welcoming spaces where sisters can grow spiritually, form lasting connections, and find ways to become actively involved in the community.

Creating spaces specifically for Muslim women is at the heart of Gallipoli Sisters’ mission. With a passionate and dedicated team behind the scenes, the group continues to foster environments where sisters feel supported, inspired, and empowered to grow together in faith.

As the year comes to a close, this workshop served as a beautiful reminder that intention, when nurtured collectively, becomes a powerful foundation for spiritual growth.
