Honouring Our Residents: Gallipoli Home Community Luncheon

Hafsah Felgouma |

On Wednesday, 17th December 2025 at 10:30am, Gallipoli Home held a deeply moving memorial luncheon to remember and honour the residents who passed away throughout the year. The emotional program was thoughtfully organised by Gallipoli Home Management, bringing together families and friends to reflect, remember, and find comfort in shared remembrance.

The program included a recitation of Surah Yaseen and other verses from the Qur’an by Imam Abdulhalim Erkoc, followed by a heartfelt dua. The atmosphere was filled with reflection and emotion, with many attendees visibly moved as prayers were offered for their loved ones. It was a moment of spiritual connection, healing, and unity for all who were present.

Families of the residents expressed deep appreciation for the program, thanking the management for their cultural sensitivity and for honouring the memory of those who had passed. One family member shared a touching reflection:

"I really thank Gallipoli Home for doing this. It took me back to my memories as if my father is here."

At Gallipoli Home, our residents are never just residents — they are family. We cherish the joy, stories, and connections they bring into our home, and those bonds do not end when a resident passes. We always aim continue to maintain lifelong relationships built between residents, their loved ones, and our staff.

This memorial luncheon was a powerful reminder of how deeply we value connection, always remembering our residents, holding their memories close and standing alongside their families with respect.
