There were big smiles, plenty of laughter and sunny skies as residents and home care clients from Gallipoli Home enjoyed a memorable day out at the fruit farm.

For many, it was a chance to reconnect with nature, enjoy the fresh air and spend quality time with friends. From meeting the animals to sharing conversations over lunch, the outing was filled with moments of joy that reminded everyone of an important truth: you're never too old to create new memories.

More Than Aged Care

Gallipoli Home provides a range of aged care services designed to support older Australians while respecting their individual needs, culture and independence.

Whether someone lives within our residential aged care home or receives support in their own home, our goal is to provide compassionate, personalised care that enhances quality of life.

Every resident is different, which is why we take the time to understand each person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. Our dedicated staff work closely with residents, clients and their families to ensure care is tailored to each individual, creating an environment where everyone feels respected, supported and valued.

A Holistic Approach to Wellbeing

Life at Gallipoli Home is about much more than daily care.

Through our Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), residents enjoy a carefully planned calendar of activities that encourage wellbeing in every aspect of life.

From group activities and gentle physical exercise to spiritual programs, social gatherings and mentally stimulating experiences, every activity is thoughtfully designed to promote confidence, independence and connection.

These programs create opportunities for residents to continue learning, remain active and build meaningful friendships, because wellbeing is all about living life to the fullest.

Supporting Our Stay at Home Clients

Our commitment extends beyond the walls of Gallipoli Home.

Each Tuesday, our Stay at Home (SAH) clients are collected and welcomed into Gallipoli Home, where they spend the day participating in activities alongside residents.

These weekly gatherings provide opportunities to socialise, share stories, enjoy group activities and simply spend time in good company. For many older Australians, regular social interaction can make an enormous difference to overall wellbeing, particularly for those who may otherwise experience loneliness or limited opportunities to connect with others.

SAH clients also join residents on planned outings to farms, shopping districts, parks and restaraunts ensuring they continue to experience new places, new friendships and new memories together.

The Importance of Social Connection

Research consistently shows that maintaining strong social connections contributes to better mental health, improved physical wellbeing and a higher quality of life as we age.

Something as simple as sharing a conversation over morning tea, enjoying a bus trip together or experiencing a day out in nature can lift spirits, reduce feelings of isolation and create lasting happiness.

Living Life, Every Day

Growing older should never mean giving up the opportunity to explore, laugh, learn and connect with others.

Every outing, every activity and every shared experience reflects Gallipoli Home's commitment to helping older Australians continue living fulfilling and meaningful lives. Whether through residential care, home support services or community activities, our team is dedicated to creating moments that bring comfort, purpose and joy.

Because at Gallipoli Home, care is about more than meeting daily needs. It's about helping every person continue writing new chapters, making new memories and enjoying life every step of the way.
